Shrimp Fest

What is the Cost to attend the Shrimp Fest?

There is no admission or gate cost to attend the Shrimp Fest.

Why do I need to buy tickets for food purchases?

Food vendors will only accept official Shrimp Fest food tickets, (each ticket is valued at $1), toward the purchase of food.  Food vendors will not except cash or cards at their food booths.  Vendors will offer food items at various ticket/price points.  Example: a $5 food purchase = (5) tickets

 

Where can I purchase food tickets to use at the festival?

There will be multiple food ticket booths on the festival grounds.  Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased using cash or credit/debit cards.

 

How do I apply to become an Arts & Crafts Vendor?

The Arts & Crafts vendor application is available here. After the application is reviewed, craft market coordinator will notify each applicant of the status of their participation.

Is the shrimp featured at food booths local shrimp?

Yes!  All food vendors participating in the festival are required to use only local wildcaught shrimp in their dishes.

 

Is the Coastal waterways and marine life educational fair and the musical entertainment offered during both days of the festival free?

Yes!

Where can I purchase the official 2018 Shrimp Fest T-shirt?

 Shrimp Fest T-shirts will be available for sale at the merchandise both days of the festival.

What are the age groups for the 5k?

Top 3 Overall Male & Female awards and Age Groups awards top 3 Male & Female: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Do I have to Run?

No, the race is open for runners and walkers of all abilities, awards ceremony will begin at 8:45am. Kids fun run will be for children 0-7 and will take place at 8:30am

Run the course where the movie Forrest Gump was filmed. This Forrest Gump themed 5K will take you through historic downtown Beaufort, beautiful tree covered streets, and cross over the famous Woods Memorial Bridge. Take your picture with Forrest Gump in the park. Race shirts to the first 300 pre-registered participants.The Run Forrest Run 5K Bridge Run/Walk is held in conjunction with the Beaufort Shrimp Festival scheduled for October 5 & 6, 2018.
